pictured above, left to right) have been named captains for the 2016 Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team.
Sherman played all 16 games and made 10 starts as a defender for the Mules in 2015. She also caused nine turnovers and won three draw controls last season. Sherman tallied 11 ground balls, four caused turnovers and two draw controls in 2014.
Armstrong played all but two games for the Mules in 2015 and racked up 40 goals, 28 assists and 68 points. Her 28 assists added to her career total of 76, which puts her fifth on the team's all-time assists list. The attack also received Centennial Conference player of the week honors in addition to being part of the All-Centennial Conference second team for the second consecutive year.
Murnick is one of the returning defenders for the Mules in 2016. She picked up 21 grounds balls last season, good enough for fourth on the team. Murnick also tallied 12 caused turnovers to go along with her five draw controls. In 2014, Murnick accumulated 19 ground balls, nine caused turnovers and 10 draw controls in 17 appearances.
Mulvey made 74 saves last year, which added to her total of 212 stops. She will begin the 2016 season seventh on the Mules' all-time saves category. The goalkeeper has made 33 consecutive starts dating back to the start of the 2014 season, where she played in all 17 games in addition to her 16 starts in 2015.
Muhlenberg, who finished 9-7 and has made the Centennial Conference tournament the last two years, is scheduled to begin the 2016 season at Drew on February 27.
